Who We Are.
Bugden Exploration was founded in 2024 by experienced geoscientists who believe that great exploration starts in the field. We partner with junior and mid-tier mineral exploration companies to deliver hands-on geological expertise backed by rigorous data practices and real-world program experience.
Our team has worked across a broad range of deposit types — VMS, orogenic gold, REE, carbonatite, porphyry, and lithium pegmatite — in some of Canada's most active exploration corridors. The People
Behind the Work.
Alex holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geophysics from Memorial University. He has experience working across Canada and the United States in a variety of deposit types including VMS, orogenic gold, REE, and Li-Ce-Ta pegmatites. He holds several board positions including CEO of Sorrento Resources and Director of Metal Source Mining.
Kirsten holds a Master of Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland and has 5 years of experience in orogenic gold at New Found Gold's Queensway deposit. She has worked on diamond drill programs with emphasis on core logging, training, developing standard operating procedures for drill core processing, data management, geochemical interpretation, and resource estimation.
Lauren has experience supporting mineral exploration programs across a range of deposit types, including carbonatite, VMS, orogenic gold, porphyry, and lithium pegmatite. She has worked on diamond drill programs and completed field work in remote and helicopter-supported environments, contributing to core logging, sampling, prospecting, data management, and daily reporting. She holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Earth Sciences from St. Francis Xavier University.
Kurt holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Environmental Science from Memorial University of Newfoundland. He has 2 years of experience at Bugden Exploration and is proficient in logistics, drill core geotechnics, prospecting, and soil sampling. He is an avid outdoorsman with years of experience moose and salmon guiding in Newfoundland and Labrador.
